Nurses woke me up around 7am and gave me fleet enema to clear my bowels, it really worked. Was wheeled to the OT around 845am.
Arrived at the OT and while waiting in the recovery area, the anasthetist (Dr Dicky Tay) and PD (Dr Yeo Kim Lian) spoke to me. I was very nervous. The mid-wife spoke to me as well.
Finally I was wheeled into the OT, I saw the big lights and nearly freaked out. I didn;t note the time. There was alot of people in the OT, the PD, the anasthetist, Dr Chen, the assistants of each doctor, 2 mid-wives for the twins, some nurses, etc etc .... I was given a shot into my drip, it really hurt and the next thing I knew, I was asleep and when I woke, the epidural was already in. Sheldon came in a while later.
Dr Chen then started the whole procedure, Sheldon could see the whole process and I was surprised he did not freak out. Sheldon spoke to me through out this delivery and I was very much comforted. I did not experience vomitting and shivering throughout the surgery as compared to the time I had Min. Go Go came out at 1028am and I heard Dr Chen mention that meconium was already passed and he showed Go Go to me for that 10 seconds before he was handed over to Dr Yeo, the PD. Go Go did not cry when he came out, neither did he cry when the mid-wive carried him upside down and spanked his backside. Something is wrong I can tell.
Ni Ni was delivered at 1029am and I can hear her cry once she came out. Dr Chen showed her to me before she was whisked away for wrapping. While Dr Chen was sewing me up, Ni Ni was given to me and I placed her on my chest. She looked at my direction when I called her and gave me a smile. She's an angel.
Go Go was transfered to NICU after Dr Yeo assessed the need and Ni Ni to normal nursery. Birth weight was 2.0 for Go go and 2.4 for Ni Ni.
My epidural side effects started when Dr Chen was sewing me, uncontrollable shivering. This lasted till the time I was in the labour ward. I was transfered from the recovery area to the labour ward. Sheldon told me that Go Go is fine and needed only help with his breathing.

Birth of Go Go and Ni Ni
After almost 8 months of ups and downs in this twin pregnancy, Dr Chen informed on 21 Nov, 2009, Sat that I should plan for a c-section by 24-Nov 2009, Tuesday because the amniotic fluid level for Go Go (boy) is getting low and the placenta is showing signs of aging. That will be 36 weeks + 3 days.
I was naturally disappointed because I was hoping for a minimum of 37weeks... anyway, we decided to take his advice and deliver @ Gleneagles instead of NUH since he has been with us through out this difficult pregnancy.
So on 23 Nov, Monday night, my parents brought me out for a "final" nice dinner @ Tonkichi (upon Min's request) and one round at Orchard Road to take a look at the Xmas lights before I am "confined" for that one month. We had a good dinner, myself, my dad, mom and Min....
I arrived at the hospital around 930 and checked into the ward 6 West, Room 633. Sheldon arrived a little later and Min was sent home with my parents.
I was prepared for the c-section and slept close to 1am. I was very excited about seeing my twins and scared upon the whole process of the epidural c-section. I have decided on epidural again after speaking to the anathestist because he sounded very confident.
Sheldon was with me that night.
